Scolile din Bucuresti din sectorul 6 se bucura de lansarea unui proiect inedit destinat descoperirii si dezvoltarii potentialelor copiilor ce vizeaza lansarea programelor de excelenta. Centrul ia nastere in cadrul unui amplu Program de Inovatie Didactica, la sugestia doamnei consilier Florentina Cristea, presedinte al Comisiei de invatamant din cadrul primariei Sectorului 6, inspector de specialitate pentru invatamantul primar, si are ca amplasament spatiul pus la dispozitie de Scoala Generala 155 “Preasfanta Fecioara Maria”, Sector 6, Bucuresti, unde va functiona timp de 2 ani.
In perioada 15 mai- 15 iunie, asociatia lanseaza un amplu Proiect Pilot de testare faza preliminara – screening 1000 de copii selectionati pe baza criteriilor furnizate de asociatie si a recomandarilor facute de invatatori si profesori din 21 de scoli. Proiectul de descoperire a inteligentelor multiple ale copiilor se desfasoara pe mai multe etape. Etapei de screening ii va urma o faza complexa de evaluari ce include interviuri si  testari psihologice utilizate pe plan mondial, validate pe populatia Romaniei si avizate de Colegiul Psihologilor. Toti parintii inclusi in programul de testare vor fi informati cu privire la principiile de descoperire a inteligentelor multiple ale copiilor si de dezvoltare a abilitatilor lor naturale. In urma etapelor de selectie, 30 de copii anual vor urma un program de dezvoltare a abilitatilor la Centrul Multimedia de Inovatie Didactica. Pentru lansarea propriu-zisa a Centrului in septembrie sunt necesare fonduri dar si ajutoare in natura (mobila, calculatoare, etc). Dupa modelul bunelor practici oferite prin expertiza de specialitate de IRSCA Gifted Education, organizatia non-profit care a castigat prestigiu in urma aprobarii Legii 17/2007 pentru educatia copiilor si tinerilor cu potential inalt, proiect legislativ sustinut de aceasta in Parlament, impreuna cu Inspectoratul Scolar Sector 6 Bucuresti, vor fi demarate o serie de programe specializate, la care vor lua parte ca grupuri tinta elevi, profesori si parinti.

Un centru care dezvolta multi-inteligentele
Proiectul este unic in Romania si axat pe „gifted education” – o educatie diferentiata, individualizata, de dezvoltare a potentialului natural al copiilor, a aptitudinilor si abilitatilor naturale cu o curricula internationala, antrenand personal foarte talentat intr-un mediu educational de inalta calitate, bazat pe adaptarea stilurilor de predare si curricula la nevoile si personalitatea copilului. Mijloace cheie sunt: curricula imbogatita, mentorat, tutoring, accelerare («enrichment», «mentoring», «tutoring», «acceleration»). Centrul va avea un program de cursuri de tip after-school pentru 30 de copii selectionati anual, si va derula o activitate permanenta de testari complexe la cerere pentru descoperirea inteligentelor multiple, a abilitatilor inalte. Intr-o prima etapa, in lunile mai – iunie va avea loc testarea pilot Raven Standard Plus a unui numar de aproximativ 1000 de elevi, cu varsta intre 9-12 ani.

Si parintii vor beneficia de program!
Acest proiect include atat cadrele didactice cat si parintii. 100 cadre didactice vor fi informate cu privire la principiile educatiei de excelenta, vor urma cursuri de formare specifice si vor putea sa initieze activitati de colaborare cu IRSCA Gifted Education. Anual 60 de parinti ai copiilor implicati direct in program vor beneficia de cursuri specifice si vor primi materiale de informare cu privire la principiile de descoperire si dezvoltare a copiilor cu abilitati inalte si la educatia de excelenta. Pana pe 15 mai in fiecare an, Centrul de Inovatie Didactica lanseaza o invitatie angajatilor sa contribuie la dezvoltarea acestuia pe termen lung prin campania 2 %: www.giftededu.org/investeste
